Encouraging students to adapt critical thinking and life-long learning identities through teaching art appreciation classes at Lone Star College; with investigation of art as social expression, focus on creative and functional processes, and learning to critically review works of art, artists and their context in world cultures.

Scrum Management for IT Infrastructure Build

Managed client business and internal technical teams to deliver new infrastructure for a client’s go-forward IT simplification program; team members were located globally, held daily scrum meetings; pulled outside teams together to resolve blockers.

Leading Project Teams

Directed a team of ten project managers for project readiness including scope, test plans, and schedules; oversaw the team through the program’s design, build, testing and go live phases.

Participating in Change Management

Participated in and lead business and IT teams through company splits, mergers and spin-offs during periods of significant transformation. Oversaw the split of 30 software applications between spin-off companies.

Improving Project Reporting

Managed improvements for QlikView reporting for key business areas: finance, sales, marketing and HR. Implemented daily dashboard reviews for compliance to company reporting standards, quality checks, and move to production.

Working with Consulting Firms

Engaged and co-worked with consulting firms helping internal and external clients. Established excellent working relationships for the benefit of the client, while respecting each other as competitors.

Managing Teams

Responsible for managing team members, staffing, assigning goals, conducting performance reviews, managing the budget for market research and consulting firms and recommending professional certifications.

Industry Association Engagement

Represented and led 15 personal computer companies in self-reporting shipments with the goal to size and track industry size and growth projections.
